How long does it take you to make a piece of Jewellery?

Varies on what type of material I'm using, how long I've been working, if my fingers are super sore or more fresh!

Do you do custom design work?

Yes! I love working with you to create the perfect piece for a gift, your wedding, or a special event. Bring in your dress and we'll custom make it to match perfectly. 

How long do you need for a bridal party order? 

Depends on the size of the order but I like to say 6-8 weeks. We do have a rush turn around times for a small fee if you are crunched for time to get your wedding jewellery made.

If I have my grandmothers jewellery can I use it in a piece for my wedding day? 

Absolutely. We love creating with family heirlooms. It can be your something new, something old, and something borrowed on your wedding day. Those are often the best pieces to customize and pass down to future generations. 

Do you have a studio where I can view the collections? 

Yes. We have a studio space in Caledon East and a studio loft in Parkdale, Toronto. We love showing you the pieces in person and trying them on to get the right fit. Although we do sell mostly online we love company at the studio as our assistants (Melvin, the dog and Beau the cat) are sometimes not the best company! 

Why do some of your photos have pennies in them? 

I put pennies in for perspective so potential customers can see the size difference 

Why the name Hattitude? 

My dad saw the name in a newspaper when I was 15 years old. At the time we were trying to come up for a business name and it quickly became my nick name (Hattie to Hattitude) which then became my business name (the first business name was Hattie's House of Beads and the logo was my childhood home sketched out) 

Where do you find all your vintage pieces? 

thats the fun part of my job! I get to source them from all over. Some come from the flea market, antique stores, and even estate sales. Finding new places to get previously loved items and turn them into something new again is the funniest part of the game! 

How do I care for my new piece of jewellery? 

Each piece is handmade with care. Items are not waterproof. Please take off when exercising, showering, sleeping or swimming. Please place jewelry into  a ziplock bag provided when not wearing the jewelry to ensure they stay beautiful for future generations. All items are made from vintage pieces, although every care possible is put towards each piece, Hattitude does fix, replace or repair all items. 

What's your return/exchange policy? 

Hattitude jewellery does not accept refunds. Please look at the photos carefully or ask for more photos for size representation. Hattitude jewellery only accepts exchanges on broken or damaged items within 7 days of received purchased (14 for international). An exchange or store credit can be made within 14 (or 28 for international) days if item is damaged during shipping. Exception for show room buyers (exchanged can be made within 7 days of purchase) and Christmas time, from November 1st - January 10th you can exchange the item for a different piece. 

Do you fix broken jewellery? 

YES! We fix all our own produced jewellery. Unfortunatly we do not fix others jewellery as we cannot guarantee the quality of their work. Hattitude fixes or repairs all Hattitude products to keep the stories and history of each piece alive for generations to come. Please email contact me for repairs or alterations on Hattitude products. With Antique Pieces comes a history, and a story, but also delicacy. Each piece is very old, anywhere from 20-70 years old. With 70 years of history, comes 70 years of stories. Although they are all handled with care, rarely, but sometimes an old antique piece can falter. 

What forms of payment do you accept?

We gladly accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or regular account payments all through PayPal.


How secure is this store?

This store uses PayPal for payments, and PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available).

Do I need a PayPal account to purchase from this store?

No, you are not required to have a PayPal account to purchase from this store. Although if you already have a PayPal account you may use it.

How long will it take for me to receive my new piece of jewellery? 

Since all the pieces are one of a kind, they are already made, meaning they are shipped within five days of purchase. Usually it takes two weeks to receive an item (or four weeks for international orders). If it’s for a special occasion and needs to be received within a certain time frame please mark that down when you order and I will put it down as a priority and try to ship it out as soon as possible.
We are not responsible for custom duties.

Items shipped through Canada are shipped regular mail, if you would like insurance and tracking please send a message

Items shipped to the United States UNDER $100.00 are shipped with tracking and full insurance

Items shipped to the United States OVER $100.00 are shipped with tracking but no insurance. If you would like insurance, please contact us before purchasing and we will add it to your listing. Items shipped international are shipped via International Air Mail with no tracking or insurance. Please contact us if you would like tracking and insurance added at a premium cost. We can ship regular parcel mail at a lower rate, please contact us for options. We are not responsible for customs charges incurred and are the responsibility of the purchaser. We are not responsible for lost or damaged packages if tracking and insurance was not purchased.

What's your privacy policy? 

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Hattitude Jewellery collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users of the www.hattitudejewels.com website. This privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by Hattitude Jewellery.

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.
